April showers bring May flowers, which brings COLOR to your life! After flipping through all my favorite magazines, surfing my favorite how-to sites, and going to social events with friends, I've discovered that the most talked-about must have item of the season is storage baskets! They come in all shapes and sizes, and now with different color fabric insides to really stand out. Here are some great places to put one:
1. Under the coffee table - place lightly read magazines here for others to read while visiting you.
2. Under the bathroom sink - divide out make-up, medicines, and toiletries.
3. In the utility closet - store all of your lightbulbs in one and your batteries in another.
4. In the kitchen cabinet - put all of your on-the-run granola snacks in one for easy access.
5. Kid's room - there are a million uses for storage baskets in a kid's room! Stuffed animals, shoes, crayons, dollies, whatever!
As you can see, there are many versatile uses for a storage basket. And, as an added bonus, dump everything out of one, place a paper towel in the bottom of it, and serve bagels to some unexpected morning guests!
