Life Lessons from TinkerBell?

This week, I watched the movie TinkerBell with my children. Little did I know that TinkerBell was going to be an Engineer - and an Industrial Engineer at that! I could really relate to this tinkering, ambitious, young diva. She was a process improvement guru, a woman having an identity crisis, and a young person with a dream that drove her to do crazy things.
Here's what TinkerBell can teach us, ladies.

Lesson #1: Stop trying to be someone you are not.

  • Identify your talents

  • Stop wasting time trying to master things you arent good at

Lesson #2: Use what you have.

  • Recycle - make old things new - use old things to serve new purposes

Lesson #3: Work smarter.

  • Find more efficient ways to do things

  • Retool to do things faster

Lesson #4: Build a team.

  • Don't do it alone

  • Get others with different talents involved

Once you do all these things, the outcome is very positive and predictable:

Outcome #1: You will reach your own goal.

Outcome #2: You will be a blessing to others.

You may not excel at organization, or cooking, or gift selection - or simply don't have the time to do it all. Choose what you want to do with your time and let us handle the rest.
