Season Change

I walked into Nieman Marcus this week and the Personal Shopper, Jan Batch, taught me something I didn’t know. If you simply walk into the store, stop, then look around at all the designers' fall collections you will see trends. You can see the season's most popular colors and styles. Summer is behind us, from a fashion perspective, and everyone is looking toward the fall. Season change is a time to start anew and assess. It’s a time to get rid of some things, pack some things away, and take in new things.

Similarly, in life seasons change. If we stop and observe what's going on around us we can see some trends. With foreclosures on the rise, gas prices sky rocketing, and large corporations downsizing the season is clearing changing. We're moving away from the BIG cars, BIG homes, BIG meals, BIG incomes and BIG expenses. As a consequence, or a blessing depending on how you see it, we're going to be forced to adapt. We're going to be forced to simplify and make decisions about what's important - what we really want to spend our time on money on.

What a great time to do some introspection. Take a look at your 'closet' and see what is outdated and needs to be replaced. Maybe it's the long hours or clutter or simple distractions. Maybe you're choosing to do the urgent over the important - the cleaning over the quality time with your family - the errands over the personal time to rest and rejuvenate. In just one month, Attaché Services can help you identify how you need to change to prepare for this new season. Call us today - a Personal Attaché is waiting to be at your service. Don't let the new season catch you off guard.
